Comments about Convocation:

Join us for the 11th Annual New Student and Family Convocation on Saturday, August 24, 2013.

Just as commencement is a ritual marking the completion of study, convocation is a ritual that signals the beginning of a college career. Convocation brings new students and their families together with faculty and staff to mark a new beginning. It also serves as a vehicle to instill core institutional values of scholarship, citizenship and leadership.

Convocation and Commencement are ritual “bookends,” traditional milestones marking the beginning and culmination of your academic journey.

All new transfer students, commuter students and residential students and their families are strongly encouraged to attend this special event.

When: Saturday, August 24, 2013
Where: Viejas Arena, SDSU (map).

RSVP starting July 2013.

Band Run: Plan to arrive early and join the Band Run! Students and their families will walk to Convocation together with the SDSU Marching Band and Cheerleaders. You won't want to miss this fun, memorable excursion through the heart of campus.
