Comments about Convocation:
Just as commencement is a ritual marking the completion of study, convocation is a ritual that signals the beginning of a college career. Convocation brings new students and their families together with faculty and staff to mark a new beginning. Convocation and Commencement are bookends, signifying traditional acknowledgment of milestones in the academic journey. Convocation also serves as a vehicle to promote the institutional values of scholarship, citizenship and leadership.
