Spanish Language Proficiency Test

 

General Information

The Spanish Language Proficiency Test is taken to satisfy the foreign language requirement for Liberal Arts and Science Majors. The Spanish Language Proficiency Test is not appropriate or available to students attending other colleges or universities or individuals seeking bilingual certification for employment or other purposes. Scores from this test will only be released to SDSU students seeking to satisfy the language requirement on this campus.

Who Needs to Take the "Spanish Language Proficiency Test?"

Any Liberal Arts and Sciences major that wishes to satisfy their foreign language requirement.

Registration Procedures

Spanish Proficiency online registration (credit card or check)
Online Registration hours of availability: 6:30 a.m. - midnight (PST)

OR

Fill out the Spanish Proficiency mail-in registration form

OR

Come to the SDSU Student Testing, Assessment & Research Office, (SSW-2549), during business hours (Monday - Friday 8 am - 4:30 pm) and purchase a ticket of admission. The fee for the DPES is $25.00. Tickets are non-refundable.
