Directions to San Diego State University for Test Candidates
DIRECTIONS TO PARKING STRUCTURE 1 (PS 1):
Coming from Interstate 5, 163, 805 or 15: Take 8 East to College Avenue. Turn right at the end of the off-ramp and immediately get to your left so you can turn left at the first light. Turn left at the first light (at the bottom of the hill). There will be a multi-level parking structure to your right. This is Parking Structure 1 (PS 1). Follow the road around to the end or the back of this structure and make a right turn into the structure. (Note: If you miss the left at the first light, continue uphill and make a U-turn at the left turn lane halfway up the hill. Then, make a right turn into the structure.) You can park in any student or faculty/staff spot in this structure. To get to the BAM building: Take the stairs or elevator in the parking structure to the sixth floor and walk across the pedestrian bridge to the campus. Go up the next set of stairs until you get to street level. You'll be at the north end of the Business Administration and Math Building (BAM).To get to the Chemistry/Geology Building: After BAM directions - go to your right, down the street, pass the trailer. The next building on the right, is the Chemistry/Geology building. To get to the Test Office in the Student Services building (from the BAM building): Go to the south end of the BAM building. Cross the street and go up the stairs, through the archway and up the stairs (or elevator) at the clock tower. Go through the double doors to the right of the clock tower and down the hallway to SS 2549. To get to the Adams Humanities Building: Follow the above directions to the Student Services building, THEN: Go through the outdoor courtyard and past the clock tower of the Student Services building. You'll be at a large walkway in the center of campus. To your left you'll see a painting of a red trollley on a long wall. Just behind that is the Adams Humanities building. Go across the campus, pass the trolley painting and them turn left to get to the outside walkway area of the Adams Humanities building. Check www.sdsu.edu/map/campusmap.gif for a map of the campus.
DIRECTIONS TO PARKING STRUCTURE 6 (PS 6)
Coming from Interstate 5, 163, 805 or 15: Take 8 East To College Avenue. Turn right at the end of the off-ramp. After turning right at the end of the interstate off-ramp, go straight at the first light, then up College Avenue. Go through the first light at the top of the hill (Lindo Paseo Drive) and turn left at the next light, which is Montezuma Road. Then, take a left at the first light you come to (East Campus Drive). There will be two parking structures on your right hand side. Parking Structure 6 is the second of these structures. Parking fees are $1.00 per hour. Check your test admission ticket to determine the approximate testing time needed for your test. The machines to pay for parking are yellow and are located on the ground level and second level of Parking Structure 6. Exact change is required. To get to the campus from PS 6: Take the walkway between Tepeyac and Olmeca residence halls. Turn right and go across the large pedestrian bridge to the campus. Pass Aztec Center. The Student Services building is the long building on the right. Go through the archway to the stairs or elevator at the clock tower for tests in the Student Services building. Go through the entire archway and courtyard area of the Student Services building, and down the stairs to get to the Business Administration and Math (BAM) building. To get to the Chemistry/Geology Building: Go Left on the street, pass the BAM building and continue down the street. The Chemistry/Geology building is the next building on the right.
Coming from East County: Take 8 West to College Avenue. Turn left at the end of the off-ramp and cross the bridge that goes over interstate 8. Then, follow the above directions starting at "go straight at the first light..."
