GRE, PPST-I, PRAXIS-C and NBPTS are given on computer at the Computer Based Testing Center located in Student Services West Room 2547.

Testing Schedule: Monday through Saturday all year. Testing times vary during the week. Saturday testing times are 8:30am and 12:30pm.

Registration: You may register for the test on-line at: www.ets.org/register, by calling (619) 594-0968, Monday-Saturday 8:30am-4:30pm, or by calling one of the numbers listed below. Payment is due when registering. Only credit card payment will be accepted when registering on-line or by phone. Checks, money orders and credit cards are accepted when registering in person. Tests can be rescheduled for an extra fee if requested by the test reschedule deadline. Partial refunds are available for cancellations by the test cancellation deadline.

GRE is 4 hours; costs $140 and official results take 2-3 weeks.

NBPTS is 4 hours.

PPST-I is 2 hours per section, costs $160 for all three sections and official results take 2-3 weeks.

PRAXIS-C (combined) is 4.5 hours, costs $130 and official results take 2-3 weeks.

You are responsible for knowing the test regulations and procedures . Important information regarding test content, format and study materials is to be found in the test bulletin or at the website.

Special Accommodations may be requested for all tests. Procedures to apply for special accommodations are found in the test bulletin or test website and must be followed exactly. The processing time for approval of special accommodations is 3-4 weeks.

GRE Fee Waiver application and directions are on-line at www.gre.org and must be followed exactly. Getting the paper work from Financial Aid is only the first step. The processing time for fee waivers by GRE is 3-4 weeks. Appointments cannot be made until a voucher for a fee waiver has been issued by GRE.

Review courses are offered by the SDSU College of Extended Studies (619) 594-5152 and by various test review companies (see yellow pages).
