If you need tutoring services, make an appointment with your counselor to review your needs and complete a tutoring authorization. For most classes, you will be asked to take your authorization to the EOP Tutoring Center (SS-2209), where a tutor will be assigned to you.
If tutors are not available through the Tutoring Center, please contact Teresa Spoulos, Support Services Coordinator, to obtain a tutor directly from SDS. You may also want to check with your instructor and the academic department for the class to ask for names and contact information of recommended tutors.
When an appropriate tutor is identified, you will schedule a contract appointment with Teresa Spoulos and the prospective tutor. Bring your original tutoring authorization with you to this meeting. The tutoring contract must be completed before work begins.
For students who have an account with Recordings for the Blind & Dyslexic (RFB&D), please contact RFB&D to inquire on your required text on tape.
If RFB&D does not have the requested text on tape, make an appointment with Teresa Spoulos for assistance in locating a reader and setting up a reader contract. Your contract must be completed and your service provider put on our payroll before work begins.
For students who do not have an account with RFB&D, please contact Teresa Spoulos immediately.
