The Office of the Ombudsman is here for you!
Our office can help you resolve problems you may have with the University. The Ombudsman acts as the student liaison or mediator, and is a confidential, independent, and neutral resource for students. We provide information, advice, intervention and referrals to try to solve problems at the most informal level possible. If you have a problem and don’t know where to start, please contact us!
Examples of situations brought to the Ombudsman:
- Faculty/Staff conflict
- Financial Aid
- Fee Disputes
- Campus Housing
- Late withdrawals/adds/drops
- Fear of retaliation
- Grade Appeal
- Discrimination/Harassment
- Judicial Affairs

The Office of the ombudsman belongs to the International Ombudsman Association (IOA) and operates in accordance with IOA’s Standards of Practice and Statement of Ethical Principles.
No person shall suffer any penalty because they seek the assistance of the Office of the ombudsman. All conversations with the Ombudsman’s Office are confidential. The Ombudsman will not disclose any part of your conversation without your prior permission.
