Parking & Traffic Tips during the Semester

Student parking at SDSU is $135.00 each semester for a car or truck. For a motorcycle or moped, the fee is $29.00 each semester. Residence hall students with a car, motorcycle, or moped need to purchase the student parking permit plus an overnight permit ($78) each semester. Fees subject to change.

Parking permits can be purchased in advance by check or credit card at the Cashier’s office. You can also purchase one online through the Cashiers Web site when you pay your registration fees. All permits must be displayed at all times.

The beginning of each semester is the busiest period for traffic and parking at SDSU. The SDSU Parking Office offers the following tips to help people get to and from campus.

Textbooks

The SDSU Bookstore, located in the heart of campus, carries every textbook (required and optional) for every class taught at SDSU. It offers students a “personalized booklist,” a computer print-out showing the textbooks they need for the classes in which they are registered. New students can also take advantage of the bookstore’s “EZ Books” program, which allows them to reserve their textbooks online and pick them up the week before classes start.
