Class Registration

When you attend New Student Orientation, you will be able to register for classes the next business day. This means that if you attend a Friday orientation program, you will be able to register on Monday.

In order to register for classes, you MUST complete the following steps:

  1. Pay your class registration fees two weeks prior to attending orientation in order to have your fees processed on time. If you pay online, your fees will be processed by the next business day. You MUST pay your fees on time or you will not be able to register for classes the next business day after orientation.

  2. Pay for your SDSU Card (student ID card) and bring the receipt to orientation with you. You may purchase your SDSU Card when you pay your registration fees.

  3. You MUST clear any holds indicated on the "My Registration" page located in your SDSU WebPortal. It can take up to 48 hours to clear some holds. Please plan accordingly.

Plan ahead so you can register on time. Your registration date/time will change to the next business day after you attend orientation.

Remember – If you do not attend an orientation, you will have to wait until the regular registration period begins. This will be after all other freshmen who attended orientation have already registered!

Class Schedule: The Fall 2009 class schedule will be available online May 6, 2009.
