The SDSU Ambassadors

What we do

This highly selective group of students are specially trained to provide campus tours to prospective students and their families. These hour long walking tours cover the main part of the campus and include narration on the history and traditions of the University. See the Campus Tours page for details and a schedule of campus tours.

Ambassadors also work at Freshman and Transfer student Orientation Programs, helping new students understand graduation requirements and course registration.

In addition, Ambassadors serve the University by hosting a variety of events such as: Homecoming, Commencement, alumni gatherings, sporting events, and other campus activities. The Ambassadors also do extensive work in the San Diego community with local elementary schools and not-for-profit organizations.

If your organization is planning an event or activity at which we may be of assistance, you can use our Event Request form to request assistance from the Ambassadors at your event, or contact the Ambassadors in the Office of New Student and Parent Programs, (619) 594-6868.

Ambassadors provide information and advice to parents and students.
