Student Affairs Updates
As we continue to evaluate the programs and services that the Division of Student Affairs provides, we will continue to make changes in the Division to best serve our students. During the past year, our significant changes include:
- Student Activities and Campus Life: The former Centers for Student Involvement was revamped with a new name that better describes its streamlined focus. The three main components of SACL are: Student Organizations, Fraternity and Sorority Life and the newly named Civic Learning and Community Engagement, formerly the Center for Community Based Service-Learning. Timothy Rupe is the Interim Director for SACL, and he reports to Cynthia Avery.
- Cynthia Avery was appointed Executive Director of Leadership Initiatives and Campus Life. She now oversees two offices within the Division: Student Activities and Campus Life, and Student Rights and Responsibilities.
- Randy Timm was appointed director of Residential Education.
- Tanis Starck was appointed director of the newly formed office, Intercultural Relations. She will oversee the Cross-Cultural Center, among many other aspects of intercultural relations.
