Testing for the College-Level Examination Program (CLEP) is now available at San Diego State University. Through the CLEP program, participants can obtain college credit, satisfy course prerequisites, and/or meet general education requirements by successfully passing the programs exam(s). Administered through the Office of Student Testing, Assessment and Research, all 34 exams are offered to current SDSU students and applicants, the greater San Diego community, and active military (through the DANTES Program).
Each college or university independently determines which exams it will accept, what credit will be granted, and what scores will be required. For the 2007-2008 academic year, SDSU will grant course credit for 33 out of the 34 exams. (CLEP Testing information, pdf file, requires Acrobat)
The CLEP examination fee is $65, and payments can be made by credit card, check or money order (payable to “CLEP”) on the day of the exam. A separate administration fee of $20 is also due the day of the test, payable by cash, check or money order (made out to “SDSU”).
Please e-mail your CLEP reservation request to jgaughen@mail.sdsu.edu, or fax to (619) 594-5036, or call (619) 594-0968.
