Academic Credit

Students who are studying abroad on an approved exchange program, independent international experience or participation in a multiple degree program should be advised as follows:

  • All students must send official transcripts from the institution in which they are earning credit directly to:

  • San Diego State University, Enrollment Services Transcript Unit, 5500 Campanile Dr., San Diego, CA  92182-7416

  • Once SDSU receives the official transcript directly from the institution attended, all course work earned at a recognized international institution will be evaluated and credit will be awarded toward degree requirements as approved by the Dean of Undergraduate Studies and/or Department Major/Minor Adviser as deemed appropriate.

  • Students must earn passing grades to receive credit for the courses they have completed abroad.

For further clarification or information, please see an International Academic Adviser in the Office of Advising and Evaluations.
