Course Offerings for CSU-IP Participants
The Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey (ITESM) is a 26-campus prestigious university system. It was founded in 1943 by a group of industrials to educate highly trained professionals. ITESM is ranked third among universities in Latin America by Magazine Económica. The Querétaro campus dates from 1975, currently enrolling a student body of 3,000 students in 15 majors.
If you want to locate the city where this campus is found, you need to know that Querétaro is situated very close to the geographic center of the Mexican Republic, on the north-south highway that has become the major trade route for NAFTA. Beautiful Querétaro is one of México's most impressive colonial cities. This is a city that has seen many of the country's historical events: México's independence movement Grito de Dolores, the defeat of Maximiliano of France's forces by Benito Juárez, and the writing of México's Constitution of 1917. Due to its well-preserved colonial Center, where important examples of fine architecture of the period are found, Querétaro has been designated a World Cultural Heritage site by the UNESCO. Colonial Querétaro remains for us to admire. In addition, Querétaro also has an area that has become a modern industrial Center. Because of its ideal location, it is home to more than 5000 international industries and companies. Surrounding Querétaro, there are many interesting cities and locations, such as San Miguel de Allende, not to be missed.
In order to study in México students require either a tourist or a student visa, except in Tijuana. (Ask the MEXUS Office for additional information).
