PONTIFICIA UNIVERSIDAD CATOLICA DE CHILE
Students attend the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile (PUC) which was founded in 1888 to offer training in traditional professions and technological and practical fields. In 1930, it was declared a Pontifical University and was granted full academic autonomy by the Chilean government in 1931. It is an urban, multi campus private university with partial public support. Its 16 faculties are distributed on four campuses in Santiago, with a teacher-training school in Villarrica.
The CSU program in Chile offers a wide range of opportunities to students interested in history, literature, political science, and Latin American studies. With a strong Spanish language background, students will have a variety of courses available to them at the university. Achieving the fullest possible integration of students into the host university environment is a major goal of the International Programs.
