As the culminating event for Black History Month, the 2007 SDSU Homecoming King & Queen have created a program that will engage intercultural bonding and awareness expressed by SDSU student organizations. Through an all-week silent auction, money will be raised for an ‘adopted family’ in New Orleans.
This project will allow students and community members to visualize the effect the Hurricane still has upon thousands of people’s lives to this day. Through a silent auction and an intercultural showcase, people can turn their naivete into a much-needed educational experience.
