Theme: Building Visibility through Tradition, Active Leadership, and Pride
The 5th Annual Queer People of Color Conference will be held at San Diego State University on May 8, 2010. The conference aims to honor the advances made by queer people of color amid various geopolitical, sociological, and institutional pressures, as well as identify what being a queer person of color means and what the QPOC community represents. This year’s workshops will fit into the overall theme of building visibility in the community through embracing and reinventing traditions, facilitating leadership, and maintaining pride.
