Dr. Maggie Rivas-Rodriguez opened the first annual Chicano/Latino Heritage Month Celebration with a lecture: A Legacy Greater than Words: U.S. Latinos & Latinas and WWII - “Latinos in Mass Media”.
Dr. Rivas-Rodriguez is an Associate Professor and Director of the Center for Mexican-American Studies at the University of Texas at Austin. She is the Founding Director of the U.S. Latino/a WWII Oral History Project.
The lecture was September 19, 2007, in Casa Real, Aztec Center.
