The purpose of the community receptions is to welcome incoming students by bringing together individuals who share similar backgrounds and cultural experiences to foster the appreciation of cultural diversity, intercultural and cross-cultural understanding by interacting with multicultural student organizations, multicultural fraternities and sororities as well as a diverse faculty and staff.
