Mission Statement

The Cross-Cultural Center provides safe spaces and fosters intellectual inquiry, identity development, social change, and acceptance of all people and cultures. In the spirit of San Diego State University’ s mission, the Center develops leaders to address local and international community needs. The Center advocates for the underserved and underrepresented.

We confront all forms of oppression and promote understanding of intersecting identities that include, but are not limited to, race, ethnicity, nationality, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, sex, culture, age, ability, class, spirituality and body image. To this end, the Cross-Cultural Center offers resources and programs to inspire a student-centered multicultural community.

The Cross-Cultural Center offers a variety of resources, materials and opportunities for personal and academic development to the SDSU campus community.
