Piedra Del Sol Apartments (PdS) are an option for returning SDSU students looking for independent apartment-style living. Preference is given to graduate and upper class students. There is an on-site manager with office hours during the weekdays and a lounge office staff available in the evening. There is no residence life program offered in this complex.

The 66-unit apartment complex offers unfurnished 2-, 3- and 4-bedroom units. Apartments are available in June, July or August and are lease for a 12-month period to the next June, July or August, depending on the unit.

2008-09 monthly rental rates for Piedra del Sol apartments are estimated at:

• Studio: $890 (approx. 414 sq. ft. – 1 bath, 1 parking space included, one tenant only)
• 2 bedroom: $1,430 (approx. 730 sq. ft. – 1 bath, 1 parking space included, two tenants only)
• 3-bedroom: $2,058 (approx. 1,025 sq. ft. – 2 bath, 2 parking spaces included, three or four tenants)
• 4-bedroom: $2,455 (approx. 1,080 sq. ft. – 2 bath, 2 parking spaces included, four tenants only)

Water, garbage collection, cable and internet services are included in the rent. Students must arrange for electric and gas service with the appropriate utility company. The telephone number for San Diego Gas and Electric is 1-800-411-SDGE. Landline telephone service will be separate and handled by Telecommunications and Network Services (TNS), students must arrange these services directly with TNS if desired. TNS can be reached at (619) 783-3001.

Complex amenities include an entertainment center with a big screen TV, surround sound stereo and a billiards table; gas barbeque grills and a picnic area in the courtyard; a quiet study room; a sky spa hot tub; and on-site laundry facilities.
