On-Campus Housing

Lifestyle Options

Lifestyle living communities provide students with the opportunity to live with others who will support specific lifestyle choices. When indicating these communities in your housing Living Choices you are choosing a program located within a specific hall or building. Limited space is available in these areas.

Extended Quiet Study Areas

Available in Chapultepec, Tenochca, University Towers, Villa Alvarado, and Zura, these areas feature extended quiet study hours as determined by the residents. All residents and their guests are required to adhere to these policies.

Housing Over the Breaks

Many SDSU students need on-campus housing over Thanksgiving, winter and spring breaks. University Towers, Aztec Corner Apartments and Villa Alvarado Apartments will remain open during these periods, at no additional charge, for students who live there throughout the academic year. All other halls close during the breaks and meal plans are not available.

Substance-Free Lifestyle

These areas in Chapultepec, Tenochca, University Towers, and Zura promote a healthy living environment. Substance Free Lifestyle community members desire to live a well-balanced and fun way of life and are looking to share these values with other like-minded individuals.  Students in this community pledge to live their lives free of alcohol, tobacco, and other mind-altering substances both on and off campus. Residents will sign an agreement stating their commitment to the substance-free lifestyle upon arrival to SDSU. (All residence halls are non-smoking in accordance with California state laws.) Guests of residents in these areas are expected to adhere to this lifestyle. SDSU residence halls comply with all state and federal regulations relating to the use of alcohol and other drugs.
