Housing Administration and Residential Education have a wide variety of employment opportunities, whether you are faculty, student affairs professional or student. These two departments work together to provide a safe and educational environment to over 4,200 SDSU students. Faculty-in-Residence and Faculty Fellow positions allow faculty to interact with students in a relaxed setting, to further engage them in learning opportunities and help students to better communicate with their professors.

Residence Hall Coordinators (RHCs) are live-in staff who supervise the paraprofessional staff and the overall building operation. The RHC works with hall staff and residents to provide a link to all the resources of the University and to assist residents in developing a positive residential and academic community. The RHC supervises a Resident Hall Coordinator Assistant (RHCA) and Resident Advisors. The RHCA is typically an upper-class student coordinating a 24-hour desk. RA's live on every floor of the hall, help maintain hall security, meet with students regarding student conduct issues, build an academic environment and coordinate hall activities and programs.

Students play an important role in the residence hall community, enhancing residents experience by serving as leaders, mentors and friends.
