Become a Residence Hall Coordinator Responsibilities Residence Hall Coordinators are charged with creating an educational residence community through the development of academic incentive programs as well as collaboration with faculty-in-residence and faculty fellows. Other responsibilities include staff supervision, judicial review, administrative and operational functions, crisis management, and other assigned duties. Residence Hall Coordinators are provided with significant central office responsibilities to enhance their professional growth and development. These responsibilities, at the discretion of the Associate Director and Coordinator of Residential Education, include leading teams addressing staff recruitment, staff training and development, behavior intervention, student development programming, student government advising, and safety services. Compensation As a Student Services Professional II, compensation is highly competitive for an 11 or 12 month appointment. Health, vision and dental insurance benefits are provided. A furnished one-bedroom or two-bedroom apartment with utilities is provided. A meal package* is provided while in session to facilitate interaction with residents and faculty. (*Provided for Residence Hall Coordinator’s partners at cost.) Qualifications A graduate degree is strongly preferred. Qualified candidates should have advanced degrees in Counseling, Student Personnel, Educational Leadership or related fields, and a minimum of one year of full-time service as a Residence Hall Coordinator/Director, or two years part-time, in a hall of at least 200 students.
