Fall 2009

Cancellation Deadline:  Received by Wednesday, July 29, 2009.

Move-in:  Friday, August 28, 2009 through Monday, August 31, 2009

Meal Plan Begins:  Monday, August 31, 2009

Classes Begin: Monday, August 31, 2009

Meal Plan Change Date: First opportunity to change meal plan.
September 14-18, 2009 (effective Monday, September 28, 2009)

Meal Plan Change Date:  Second opportunity to change meal plan.
November 2-6, 2009 (effective Tuesday, January 20, 2010)

Thanksgiving Break:  Halls close for break (except Aztec Corner, Villa Alvarado and University Towers). 
Wednesday, November 25, 2009, 4:00 p.m. through Sunday, November 29, 2009, 4:00 p.m.

NOTE: Furlough Day correction!
The latest issue of News for Aztec Parents, Fall 2009, listed November 25 as “Furlough Day, Campus Closed.” The campus is open except for those offices affected by state mandated furlough. Classes will be in session. Your student should follow his or her course syllabus and confer with his or her instructors should questions arise. If you have further questions, contact the Parents Hotline at 619-594-1653.

Semester Break: Halls close for break (except Aztec Corner, Villa Alvarado and University Towers).  Licensee should leave by 8:00 p.m. on the day of his/her last final examination, but in no case later than 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 19, 2009.

Spring 2010

Cancellation Deadline:  For spring 2010 residents – cancellations must be turned into the Office of Housing Administration by Friday, December 18, 2009.  (See Fees & Payments – Cancellation, for more information)

Halls Reopen:  Tuesday, January 19, 2010 at 4:00 p.m. (2:00 p.m. for new residents) through Thursday, January 21, 2010.

Classes & Meal Plan Begins:  Wednesday, January 20, 2010

Meal Plan Change Date:  Last opportunity to change meal plan.
February 8-12, 2010 (effective Monday, February 22, 2010)

Spring Break: Halls close for break (except Aztec Corner, Villa Alvarado and University Towers).   Friday, March 26, 2010, 4:00 p.m. through Sunday, April 4, 2010, 4:00 p.m.

Freshmen Guarantee: New first-time freshmen who have been admitted to San Diego State University are guaranteed a space in on-campus housing when a completed License Agreement is received and processed by the Office of Housing Administration by May 3, 2010. Transfer Guarantee: New transfer students who have been admitted to San Diego State University are guaranteed a space in on-campus housing when a completed License Agreement is received and processed by the Office of Housing Administration by May 3, 2010. Halls Close:  All halls close for the academic year (except Aztec Corner).  Thursday, May 20, 2010, 8:00 p.m. – Licensee should leave by 8:00 p.m. on the day of his/her last final examination, but in no case later than Thursday, May 20, 2010 at 8:00 p.m.

Aztec Corner Closes:  Saturday, July 31, 2010.  Licensee must vacate no later than Saturday, July 31, 2010, 4:00 p.m.
