Service Charge

A nonrefundable service charge of $40 is included in the total cost. Credit balances accumulated throughout the academic year will not be refunded but will be applied toward any outstanding balances on your University account or credited toward your next payment. Rates are subject to change by the Trustees of the CSU (Aztec Shops, Ltd., in the case of meal plans).

Optional, Nonrefundable Fees

Activity Fee - included in the first scheduled payment is an optional, nonrefundable residence hall activity fee of $25 for the academic year. This fee entitles the Licensee to educational and social programs, and access to recreational equipment provided by the Residence Hall Association (RHA), the student government organization.

Recreation Fee - also included in the first scheduled payment is an optional, nonrefundable recreation fee of $119 for the academic year, which entitles the Licensee to membership in the on-campus recreation center. The recreation fee for Aztec Corner residents is $156 for a 12-month membership.

These fees will appear as separate charges on the first scheduled payment. The fees are included in the total cost of the License Agreement and are not an additional charge. If the Licensee does not want to pay either optional fee, the Licensee must notify the Office of Housing Administration in writing with the completed License Agreement.

Utility Charges

All utilities are included, except at Villa Alvarado and Aztec Corner. Students living in the Villa Alvarado and Aztec Corner apartment complexes will be billed for their portion of the utility and/or water charges on their monthly Student Statement eBill from the University Cashiers Office. In the event that there is a significant increase in utility charges to the University, the University reserves the right to impose a utility and/or water surcharge of no more than 5 percent of the cost of Licensee’s rent to all License Agreements.

Telephone service is not included at Aztec Corner; residents can contact Cox Communications directly to add telephone service.
