Guide to Living in the Halls

Residence Hall Coordinators

Tony Kraft

Hiya! My name is Tony Kraft, and I'm very excited to start up at San Diego State University. I hail from King of Prussia, PA - a suburb approximately 15 miles northwest of Philly. King of Prussia is home to the second largest mall in the United States. We like to brag that we have more square footage for shopping than the Mall of America (honestly, who needs a ferris wheel in a mall anyway?). Aside from that, KoP (as we call it) is rather boring. I earned BAs from the University of Maryland, College Park, in communication and sociology, and also completed a certificate program in LGBT Studies. I recently completed my MEd in College Student Affairs from the Pennsylvania State University, where I worked primarily in student affairs research and assessment. I spent my summer in between my first and second year of graduate school at Cornell University in Ithaca, NY, where I worked as a residence hall director. Ask me why "Ithaca is Gorges" and I'll talk your ear off and show you lots of pictures.

In my spare time (which I rarely seem to have), I enjoy relaxing on the beach, exploring new places with my partner, Chris (he works at UCSD), and reading anything and everything. I am a die-hard Alanis Morissette fan, which is the extent of my musical tastes. And, for those who were wondering, I am (unfortunately) not related to the Krafts famous for their mac n' cheese. Bummer.
