Residence Hall Check-In Survey

Welcome to San Diego State University and our on-campus community! Our professional and student staff have been preparing for many months for your arrival because we want you to have the best possible year here on campus! We are here to make sure good things happen and to help you through tough times. We know this will be an exciting and challenging year, full of opportunities that just don’t happen in the classroom!

It would be very helpful to us to know a little more you and other residents’ experiences and opinions. So, you are being invited to participate in an anonymous research study.

It is recommended that you complete the Check-In Survey prior to your arrival on campus. (The survey is also referred to as the Residential Education Learning Outcomes Survey.) Please note that if you choose not to participate in this survey it will in no way negatively affect your check in process.

The purpose of this study is to learn about your experiences and year on campus to help us design programs and opportunities that will be most valuable to you. You are invited to participate in this anonymous study because, by deciding to live on campus, you are entering one of the most exciting years of your life, and we have a lot to learn from you!

The check-in survey takes about 15-25 minutes to complete, and you are requested to do it in one sitting. To access the survey, click here. This link will be available from now through September.

Single Rooms in Traditional Halls Available

Live in a Double As a Single (DAS) in one of the traditional residence halls.  It not only gives you double the space but the privacy of your own room.

As Double As a Single is a traditional double room (two beds, two desks, etc.) without a roommate.  A limited number of DAS's are available in Chapultepec and Tenochca.

For students who have already turned in a License Agreement: write a letter to the Office of Housing Administration stating you would like to change your room choice to a DAS along with your RED I.D., signed and dated to our mailing address (located below).

On-Campus Housing Spaces are Still Available !

On-campus housing spaces are still available for the Fall 2008 semester.  The License Agreement for 2008-09 is available to all newly admitted SDSU students who have already made their Intent to Enroll payment and returning residents.

Even though the May 1, 2008 new first-time freshmen space guarantee has passed, there may still be spaces available in the Freshmen Living Learning Communities.  License Agreements received after May 1 will be received and processed on a first-come, first-serve basis.
