Take advantage of our FREE Personal Growth Services
The most recent research and faculty from Harvard (Dr. Daniel Goleman) and Yale (Dr. Peter Salovey) have confirmed our lay observations and common sense. Your I.Q. and the facts you learn account for less than 25 percent of your ability to be successful in your life. People who have Emotional Intelligence (a high EQ) understand and manage strong feelings, persist in the face of frustrations and traumas, build strong relationships, can listen well and lead others, are much more likely to be both happy and successful in their lives.
Potential employers know how important these skills are and look to hire Emotionally Intelligent students in their companies. "You need a degree to get in the field, but it does not make you a star. Its the emotional intelligence abilities that matter more for superior performance" (Survey of American Employers:1991).
