Counseling & Psychological Services Student Advisory Board Where and When does Counseling and Psychological Services Student Advisory Board (SAB) meet?SAB meets weekly, every Thursday, from 12:30-1:30, in Calpulli Center, Suite 4401. What is the role of the Student Advisory Board?The Student Advisory Board is an opportunity for SDSU students to be involved with mental health issues (such as stress, relationships, depression, alcohol use, body image) that impact SDSU students. Members of SAB are advocates for the campus community and work in close collaboration with a faculty advisor from the Counseling and Psychological Services. A bonus to becoming an SAB member is affiliation with the SDSU Associated Student Government. As a member of SAB, you will have an opportunity to help students in the following ways:
SAB projectsSAB contributes to a number of Wellness related programs in collaboration with the Peer Education Program and Counseling and Psychological Services (C&PS). Below are some ways in which students in SAB have participated in campus education:
How to Join SABMembership is open to students of all majors at SDSU. To join, complete the online application. You will then be contacted for an interview by the Associated Students Council. If there is a board seat available on SAB, appointments are made throughout the semester. |
