SDSU employs various measures to protect the security of its computing resources and its users’ accounts. However, users should be aware that SDSU cannot guarantee security and confidentiality. Users should therefore engage in "safe computing" practices by establishing appropriate access restrictions for their accounts, guarding their passwords and changing them regularly.

Use secure forms when collecting information on the Web. If information collected via a secure form is sent by email, the email may not be secure. One solution to this issue is to have the email encrypted.
