In response to the devastating tsunami in South East Asia, CCBSL convened a campus wide committee Aztecs for Rebuilding Lives and Communities that brought together leading experts and scholars from Doctors without Borders, Oxfam, and Project Concern International to educate the campus community about international disaster relief.
The event highlighted local and international volunteer opportunities, provided SDSU students an opportunity to network with various professionals in the field, and showcased the research of SDSU faculty and community partners. Over 450 students, faculty, staff, and representatives from community organizations were in attendance.
