Fifty students from local Mann Middle School had the chance to participate in a day of exploration at SDSU.  The purpose of this event was to highlight SDSU as an accessible community resource and to inspire these students to pursue higher education.

Led by SDSU students, they engaged in various activities facilitated by faculty and staff:  art projects in an Art for Teachers classroom (Professor Litrownik), demonstrations in a physiology laboratory (Dr. Pozos), simulations in a visualization laboratory (Dr. Frost), a tour of campus by SDSU Ambassadors, lunch with a sorority and fraternity, discussion/art project with a group of Biology students (Dr. Martin), and a tour of the library (Gloria Rhodes).

Civic Learning and Community Engagement, Theta Chi and Sigma Kappa sponsored this event.  The Associated Students, Aztec Shops, and volunteers from the Cross-Cultural Center and Undergraduate Student Affairs Intern Program also helped to support this event.
