British polar explorer and environmental leader Robert Swan will be at SDSU for a one-time special presentation during his five-year global Voyage for Cleaner Energy.  This five-year worldwide lecture series and sailing expedition began this year, and includes stops in the U.S., Russia, Europe, China and India.

The '2041' sailboat, which has the world's first sails made from recycled plastic bottles, will follow Swan to each port as he takes his message around the world.  '2041' will be powered completely by renewable energy.

You won't want to miss this opportunity to meet Robert Swan, the first person in history to walk to both the North and South Poles, and hear about his lifelong commitment to preserving Antarctica and his five-year objective to work with leaders around the world in search of viable solutions to global climate change.

The '2041' sailboat will be open to students for scheduled tours the first week of May.  Call Melissa Ritti at (530) 587-2041 or go to www.2041.com for more details.

This special event is one of several hosted by the SDSU Common Experience.
