Summer Session '08

Catch the Wave of Summer Courses and Graduate in 4 Years or Less

Summer Session 2008 at San Diego State University is offering more than 800 courses. Students may choose from two six-week sessions or one 13-week session.

Summer session is a great opportunity for you to get ahead on units earned in order to graduate sooner or keep on track to graduate in four years. A variety of General Education, major preparation, and upper division major courses will be offered.

In addition, SDSU's summer session offers a fee structure that makes attending summer classes even more affordable. Students pay a less expensive per-unit fee rather than the flat rate paid each semester. For example, if you take only one three-unit course, you will pay for only three units. More information on summer session fees can be found on the Student Financial Services Web site.

The summer class schedule will be online beginning April 9. Registration notices - including your registration date, time and fee payment date – will be released the following day. Registration for summer classes begins April 28.

Students should be sure to use their degree evaluation (located in the WebPortal) to determine what requirements and courses still need to be fulfilled, and their Major Academic Plan to understand the recommended sequencing of their remaining requirements.

If you have questions about summer session, contact the Office of the Registrar at registrar@sdsu.edu or (619) 594-6871.
