Participate in an International Experience Close to Home – Tijuana Program to Focus on Health and Human Services South of the Border

SDSU students can participate in an 11-day international opportunity this summer in La Gloria, a neighborhood colonia of Tijuana. The program runs May 24 through June 3.

Start your summer out right! Join other students for this undergraduate international experience presented by the College of Health & Human Services.

  • Explore health and human service programs south of the border
  • Participate in cultural activities and excursions
  • Visit a local children's hospital, orphanage, and help build a home for a local family
  • Enjoy day-long guided tours of Tecate and Ensenada
  • Earn 1-unit of SDSU credit

This program is designed for undergraduate pre-majors and declared majors in the College of Health & Human Services.

Program Fee
The $1,250 estimated fee includes transportation from the Mexican border, room and board, and special excursions (excludes items of a personal nature and several meals).

Space is Limited! Only 30 students will be allowed to participate, and it is open to students majoring in Nursing, Health Sciences/Public Health, Social Work, Speech, Language and Hearing Sciences., and Gerontology.
