Associated Students Celebrates 75 years of Fun and Service at San Diego State!

The Associated Students (A.S.) is having a birthday in March. This year, your student government, the one that provides you with free concerts, movie previews, leadership opportunities, aquatics classes on the bay, and a place to workout, is turning 75! For three-quarters of a century, A.S. has been providing San Diego State students and the greater college community with:

  • A student union designed to unite the campus population in Aztec Center
  • Venues to enjoy live music in the Open Air Theatre and Cox Arena
  • Places to exercise and enjoy fitness in the Aztec Recreation Center, the Aztec Aquaplex and the Mission Bay Aquatics Center
  • Student leadership opportunities that are considered some of the best in California
  • A Children’s Center with educational offerings among the best in San Diego County

All of this goodness first started with the students of San Diego State College forming a non-profit corporation, now known as Associated Students, on March 7, 1932. Our tradition of excellence continues today in our student leaders, our dedicated staff, a diverse group of part-time employees and our state-of-the-art facilities.

Join A.S. as we celebrate our birthday by continuing to provide fun and enriching opportunities for students!
