Give Blood

According to the American Red Cross:

  • 1 blood donation can help up to 4 people
  • 1 in 3 people will need blood at some point in their lives
  • Nearly 20 percent of all blood recipients are children

photo - the American Red Cross BloodmobileThe Centers for Student Involvement has coordinated with a number of campus organizations to bring the American Red Cross and San Diego Blood Bank Bloodmobiles to campus, for your convenience.

The San Diego Blood Bank will be on campus the following dates:

  • Thursday, 3/1, 11 am – 5 pm, Free Speech Steps
  • Tuesday 3/6, 10 am – 3:30 pm, Free Speech Steps
  • Thursday 3/15, 10 am – 3:30 pm, Casa Real

CPR Saturday

On Saturday, March 10, the San Diego American Red Cross is hosting CPR Saturday 2007 at the San Diego Concourse, located at 202 C Street. CPR Saturday will provide those interested with free CPR training and certification. There will be seven different training sessions throughout the morning from which to choose. The American Red Cross will also be taking blood donations at this event.
