Earn Free Money for College During Winter Break -- Apply for Scholarships!

It would take 74 hours to earn $500 at a minimum wage job. It takes only a few hours to complete a scholarship application that could win you $500, $2,500, or even more for college.

All students, regardless of GPA, income, area of study, nationality, citizenship or residency status, are encouraged to apply for scholarships.

The Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships (OFAS) encourages you to spend a couple hours over winter break to check out the free SDSU Scholarship search and apply for scholarships.

SDSU Scholarship applications are due Monday, Feb. 5 for the 2007-2008 academic year.

You can easily navigate SDSU Scholarships by a number of search options and find tips on completing your application, writing an essay, writing thank you letters and several other helpful resources.

Each SDSU Scholarship requires a standard application, an essay, and an academic transcript. Some scholarships may require additional materials.

Make a habit of frequently checking the OFAS Web site throughout the year for new scholarship opportunities.

Also consider registering with additional free scholarship search Web sites such as www.FastWeb.com or www.scholarshipexperts.com. *NOTE: Never pay for a scholarship search or listing.
