Effective September 4… Extended Trolley Hours at SDSULate night Green Line service will be extended between Old Town Transit Center and San Diego State, providing five additional round trips after 11 pm. Current 30-minute service will be extended until 1 am, with the last eastbound departure arriving at SDSU at 1:22 am. The last westbound train departs SDSU at 1:32 am and arrives at Old Town at 1:55 am. The extended service will operate on a trial basis and will be evaluated at the end of the spring semester. Research indicated that almost 30 percent of the people riding the Green Line wanted extended late night service. The Metropolitan Transit Services partnered with SDSU and the House of Blues to provide all SDSU students a free round-trip trolley ticket to attend the Aztec’s first home football game. Don’t forget to buy a semester pass at Aztec Center Ticket Office. It’s the most affordable way to travel on the trolley and get to and from SDSU. Last year more than 6,000 students purchased the semester pass. This year, the back of all college semester passes has a coupon for a free movie courtesy of UltraStar Theaters. The Green Line connects to the Blue Line at the Old Town Transit Center and to the Orange Line at the Grossmont Trolley Station. Both Blue and Orange lines provide late night service until after midnight and on Saturday the Blue Line continues to operate additional trains between Old Town and San Ysidro until early Sunday morning.
