Senior Class Gift Update

SDSU’s Associated Students has joined the Senior Class Gift Committee as a strategic partner. Through this newly established partnership, A.S. has extended a challenge to graduating seniors to increase the impact the Senior Class Gift program has on campus.

A.S. is committed to matching dollar-for-dollar all gifts received beyond $10,000 to this campaign up to a total of an additional $10,000. This is a tremendous opportunity to double the value of graduating seniors’ contribution to the Senior Class Gift and enhance the impact of this 95-year-old campus tradition.

With more than $5,000 already donated in the first month of the campaign, students are following the lead of their elected student government representatives and marking their time at SDSU with a gift that transforms the campus experience for future students and alumni.

For a gift of $50 or more, students have the opportunity to make their gift in honor of or in tribute to a faculty, staff or other SDSU community member who has made a significant, positive impact on their experience at State. “The Aztec Tribute Program” allows soon-to-be alumni the opportunity to show appreciation and gratitude to those who shaped their Aztec experience while leaving a lasting legacy for the Class of 2006.

The Senior Class Gift Committee is happy to again offer the Senior Spirit Card. For a gift of $20.06, students will receive the Senior Spirit Card with an embroidered decal that can be worn on the graduation cap at commencement. This was a very popular item last year, and the committee is pleased to be able to offer it once again. The card is limited to the first 500 donors, so if you have not made your gift yet, now is the time to contribute to the Senior Class Gift of 2006: a new block letter sign that says “Home of the Aztecs.”

For more information or to make your gift, please contact Michael Minjares in the Annual Programs office at 594.4010 or at mike.minjares@sdsu.edu.
