Get Involved with the Senior Gift

On behalf of the entire Senior Class Gift Committee, I am excited to launch our Spring 2006 campaign, “2006 Hours ‘Til Commencement.” As of February 27, seniors graduating this May have roughly 2006 hours until the ceremonies begin. There’s obviously so much to think about, from finalizing your credits, purchasing your cap and gown, and sending out graduation announcements and invitations to friends and family. The Senior Class Gift Committee wants to be there every step of the way to ensure your last semester at SDSU is a smooth one.

Our goal is to increase participation from graduating seniors each and every year. The committee is still currently planning for this year’s gift, so please reference future issues of @State and our Senior Class Gift Web page for more information. Last year's class continued the tradition of raising funds for a campus project, and we are positive that our efforts will be even better this year.

The first 500 seniors who make a gift of at least $20.06 to the Senior Class gift will receive a "Senior Spirit Card" containing an exclusive embroidered sticker for your graduation cap. We are also introducing The Aztec Tribute Program, which will allow students to honor a professor, staff, mentor or other member of the SDSU community who has made a significant impact on their undergraduate experience. This will be a fine addition to a tradition that has been on campus since 1911.
