The DUI P.A.C.E. (Prevention through Awareness and Cooperative Education) Car program is designed to help stop drinking and driving.  This program is run through San Diego Police Department and is funded by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety through the Business, Transportation and Housing Agency.

The P.A.C.E. Car Program consists of three educational elements: 1) a presentation by SDPD officers on the risks of driving while intoxicated and unsafe behavior; 2) field sobriety tests administered by SDPD officers to participants wearing Fatal Vision goggles that simulate intoxication; and 3) the P.A.C.E. Car course—a traffic cone obstacle course traversed by participants driving golf carts and wearing Fatal Vision goggles.

The obstacle course will be set up near Aztec Center by the War Memorial.  Students will be able to drive the course and may even take a passenger with them.  It'll be an interesting and unique experience for all that participate!
