To commemorate the signing of Executive Order 9066, SDSU Cross-Cultural Center and the Japanese American Citizens League (JACL) presents a film screening of Stand Up for Justice: The Ralph Lazo Story. This film tells the story of Mexican/Irish American, Ralph Lazo, who was deeply moved by the injustice Japanese Americans faced after the bombing of Pearl Harbor. When Ralph’s Japanese American friends are forced to relocate to internment camps, Ralph chooses to join them.

The program will include remarks by the Executive Director of JACL, John Tateishi and a panel discussion featuring individuals involved with the film, student and community leaders.

Co-sponsors include SDSU Student Affairs, San Diego Asian Film Foundation, Japan Society of San Diego and Tijuana, SDSU Japan Student Society, SDSU Marketing and Communications.
