The Graduating Class of 2005 Continues to Support SDSU

For many students, the end of the fall semester means studying for finals, deciding on next semester’s course load, and planning a winter break. But for graduating seniors, this time marks not only the completion of another semester, but represents the end of their academic career at the university. These seniors graduate from SDSU with newfound knowledge, memorable experiences and the assurance that they have made a lasting contribution at their new alma mater.

In a tradition that dates back nearly 95 years, graduating seniors are being asked to give back to SDSU through the Senior Class Gift campaign. The class of 2005 has already raised more that $17,000 in pledges toward a campus beautification project. Seniors who contribute to the campaign this year may cast their vote to support improving the Scripps Cottage patio and grill area or enhancing the sunken grass area between Don Powell Theater and Exercise and Nutritional Sciences. The project that receives the most votes will be chosen as the class legacy gift for May and December graduates of 2005.

Don’t miss your chance to be part of this long-standing campus tradition. Annual Fund student callers will be reaching out to December graduates. Seniors can also donate online.

All students are encouraged to take an active role in the Senior Class Gift by participating in the Senior Class Gift Committee. The committee welcomes all class levels and is beginning to work on plans for the 2006 gift. Your support of the Senior Class Gift does make a difference.
