SDSU Children's Center has Fall Openings
As current families finalize fall schedules, openings often occur for new families needing childcare for this semester or projecting a need into the spring and summer of 2006. The Center serves children of SDSU students, faculty and staff, with some funding available for SDSU students who meet state income guidelines. Tours of the facility are given the first Wednesday of each month at 9 am as well as the second and fourth Thursdays of each month at 5 pm. No appointment is needed to attend a tour and children are welcome to attend. Employment opportunities also exist at the center. Students with experience working with young children under the age of five and who have course work in Child and Family Development or Psychology are always in high demand for specific positions at the center. Other openings do exist for students without qualifying units or experience, including working with children, supervising our front desk or working in our kitchen as a member of our food program team. Work Study positions are available as well. Paid and volunteer internship positions can also be arranged at the Center. The Children’s Center also welcomes opportunities to partner with campus clubs and organizations on community service projects or with individual students and SDSU community members who are interested in volunteering at the center.
