Meet Your New AS Executive Officers!
As the academic year comes to an end, it’s just the beginning of a new era for five student leaders here on campus. Chris Manigault, Kristi Kimura, LaToya Jarrett, Matt Keipper, and Dennis A. Kramer II are looking forward to their term as Associated Students Executive Officers. They welcome the opportunity to lead and represent the entire student body of San Diego State University. They will be sworn in on May 4 in the Aztec Center Council Chambers.
President
Chris Manigault is a 21 year-old Television and Film major, who is planning on a career in film production. Accordingly, Chris enjoys hanging out with friends and watching movies in his free time. He’s especially looking forward to Star Wars Episode 3 opening on May 19th. Chris is a member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc., Mortar Board Honors Society, Order of Omega Honors Society and the Hardy Elementary School 6 to 6 Recycling Program. Chris’ top goal for next year is to give every student a reason to be proud to be a student at San Diego State. Chris was the 2004-05 Vice President of University Affairs for Associated Students.
Executive Vice President
Kristi Kimura, a senior Public Relations major, is 20 years old. Kristi’s goal is to someday work as a television sportscaster or be a public relations representative for a professional sports team. Kristi’s #1 goal for her 2005-06 term as AS Executive Vice President is to get more students involved in on-campus activities, especially attending athletics events. In her free time, she likes to workout at the gym, hang out with friends and listen to music. Kristi is a member of Gamma Phi Beta sorority, the PSFA college council and the SDSU Ambassadors.
Vice President of Finance
Matt Keipper is a 19-year-old Finance major. In his free time, he enjoys hanging out with friends, going to the gym and reading. Next year, Matt hopes to improve communication with groups that AS provides funding in the hope that with more information these groups will be able to spend their funds more efficiently. Matt is a member of the Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity.
Vice President of External Affairs
Communication major LaToya Jarrett, 22, will be a senior this fall. Her top priority for the coming year in AS is to ignite legislative awareness through uniting student organizations for political forums. She would also like to bridge the gap between legislators and students. In her free time, LaToya writes poetry, dances, works out at the gym and spends time with friends and family. She’s been a member of Associated Students and the External Affairs Board.
Vice President of University Affairs
Dennis A. Kramer II, is a senior majoring in psychology, with an emphasis in clinical psychology. Eventually, this 21-year-old would like to work as a clinical psychologist on a university campus. Dennis’ top goal for the upcoming year is to continue providing access to information for all students. In his free time, Dennis likes to play golf. He is a member of Theta Chi fraternity, Mortar Board, Gamma Sigma Alpha, Psi Chi, and the National Residence Hall Honorary. This year he also served as the Residence Hall Association president.
