Message from AS President Kelli Kedis

Hello everyone and welcome to @State – the first, student-based, online newsletter that serves to inform you of upcoming events happening at San Diego State University. Our university is one with immense opportunities for student growth and involvement. There are hundreds of opportunities for you – you just may not know about them yet. This newsletter will highlight the upcoming events happening on our campus and recognize the achievements of students just like you.

As a student on campus, I felt that this newsletter would be a vital component to overall student enjoyment at SDSU, mainly because there are so many activities happening on our campus all the time, most of which you may not know about. It was important for me to leave something behind that students can rally behind in terms of being more involved and more informed. @State was the best way to achieve this goal.

Everyone has something to contribute to San Diego State and we want to make sure the contributions and celebrations of students don’t go unnoticed! This space will give you the chance to recognize what other State students have done, and perhaps may inspire you to showcase your talents, promote your favorite cause or highlight your academic excellence. If none of these things seem like they apply to you, please stay around anyway. @State is a place for every state student and perhaps if you don’t see something you like this month, next month there will be an announcement or article just for you.

Everyone views San Diego State a little bit differently, but when it comes right down to it, we’re all here @State to learn, to grow and to look ahead to the future. Check us out and come back often. Welcome and enjoy this new space for students!
